Lorenzo,
Thanks for the input. I'm glad somneone else is running a similar set up to mine. What do you mean you have all the crossovers set to 80? I'm running a 5.1, have all my speakers set to small and went with 60 for the fronts, 80 for the QS8's and 100 for the center. I havent figured out yet how to set the sub. I dont know what I'm supposed to set it at but I think its currently set to 40 or 60. What are you using for rear surrounds and side surrounds? Where did you put the M22's. Thanks for answering my dumb questions.

You are suppose to set the sub's crossover to where your higest speaker is crossovered, otherwise you will create a bass hole.

JC, what Lorenzo means is simply that he's followed the most common recommendation and set all his speakers, including the sub, for a uniform 80Hz crossover, despite the fact that the 7200 allows for picking different points. Try it and you might also find that it's the simplest and best overall solution. In any case, as Curtis said, don't set your sub any lower than any of the speakers, otherwise the sub won't be able to handle all the bass for that particular set of speakers and a partial gap would result.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

Second that motion. I've got the 7200 running the Epic 80. Prior to receiving the Axioms I hooked the H/K to my old speakers and noticed the brightness right away because it sounded tinny. I reserved judgement until delivery of the new system which was about a week ago. The setup for the receiver was a little confusing in some ways. For example, the owners manual and the H/K web site have differing instructions on the EZ SET function. The FAQ's about crossovers were just as confusing. Presently I have all the crossovers at 80 also and I'll experiment from there.
Even without tweaking I'm amazed at the Axioms. The brightness is now crisp and clear not tinny. The difference in sound in any mode is directly tied to the quality of the input. These are outstanding speakers and I can't wait to push them a little harder.
I will grovel to the folks at Axiom to send me a T-Shirt. Doesn't everyone think this would be a good thing? Plus good advertising.
