I came across this article today which is an update on an oft used term for marketing 'high end' cables, "dielectric absorption" in Audioholics line of cable myth debunking.
It is highly technical though.

Yeah chess, but the ones who trust their ears have the ability to unerringly detect those infinitesimal dielectric losses.

Saturn,
I might be travelling to TO this weekend but i won't know until Thursday.
That woofstock looks great. The "big giant head" pooch would be thrilled.

bigjohn;

No those arent my girlfriends. And one of them looks like a girl but isn't. I have only one...the asian one...and we have been together for over 5 years and friends for over 8. One dog ... 6 months old ...the rest of the other dogs and dog owners are from the dog park. As with stereo equipment... we don't want to go there...I'm a audio&video whore.(could I say that?)

ps:the old man isn't me...thats my fiancee's granpa at 95 yrs. As is a different thread ... this is me.

Hi Saturn:

Cute dog? What breed is he? Some kind of Daschund I'd imagine.

Dachshund. His mother was a rare white miniature dashshund with brown markings and his dad was a standard black with brown markings. I guess the White and Black got mixed up and what came out was the silver dapple Oscar Mayer weiner dog you see.
