Hey Ken, I just read your Bio. I like the "TiVo Series2 222 hr (no, that's not a typo!)" comment. And I see you are an IT guy. So putting two and two together is it safe to assume that you put a monster hard drive in the Tivo unit? Also, are you using off the air, cable, or sat?

When you said that you were disappointed about the sound of music, I was going to suggest turning off your Dolby Pro Logic, and just play in Stereo.
I do not know if Harmon Kardon has a similar format, but Denon recievers have an excellent 5/6/7 channel stereo format that is excellent. It makes a surround system work like the 4 speaker system in a car by duplicating the channels in the rear and allowing only a small amount of bleed to the center. Otherwise just play music the way it was meant to be heard, in stereo.

Yeah, I put a 120 GB drive in my 60 Hr TiVo. I'm just using basic cable to feed it, but we don't really need anything else. We've still got over 40 West Wings to watch...
