That's Ed Gerhard's The Live Album, Slide Improv cut playing ...

A new audio miracle I'm trying out - the Sony TA E9000ES processor, unbelievably good!!

Nope, can't hear it - you're like 50 miles away.

I see that you have a view north towards Huntington Beach. Please, please don't tell me that you own that piece of land between your window and the edge of the bluff. If you do... I could use an SVS sub and some sort of mega-watt amp, please.
Have fun, bro.

Ah, BigWill, you'll be hearing the sweet music soon enough!!

OK, here's a teaser ... a picture of the best sounding center channel speaker I've ever heard.

What center channel? That little thingee just below the Spitfire's prop? That looks like a kitchen timer.

The beautiful Spitfire ... yes, a center speaker of uncertain parentage ... I'm very curious what you'll think of it.

hey 2x6 thats the processor i use,ive had it for about 5 or 6 years.did it come with any of the upgrades?that pre-amp gives you tons of options when it comes to setting up your parameters.the remote sucks down batteries like crazy, but it sends information two ways so you can check all of your settings on the remote screen itself, its a great sounding-fun awesome toy...hey wait a minute we have the same amp too--now just grab some m80s and well have twins...play with the sony for a while and let me know what you think....ron

Hi Ron

Yes, I flashed it with the VER 1.18c firmware upgrade before hooking it up. Can't find the key number for the 2.01 and 2.50 firmware upgrades, have the downloads sitting in a computer file. If you have the CD with the upgrades and key, I hope you'll PM me.

I'm working while listening to digital cable music - Soundscapes, and am just floored by the purity and beauty of the music this processor puts out.

I heard horror stories about the Sony remote, but I kind'a like it.

All I can say is, if anyone is thinking of getting a cheap receiver and using outboard amps, DON'T! Get one of these Sony TA E9000ES processors and ENJOY THE MUSIC. It's truly incredible.

Here's the link to the 9000ES site:
http://home.online.no/~espen-b/ta-e9000es/

The reviews I read compared the performance of the 9000ES with and without the firmware upgrades - they report a huge difference in sound quality! The VUCD 9000 upgrade includes a new and simple remote, but that's not all the upgrade does. If you have the upgrade disc, I'd be much obliged if you could burn one for me since they're no longer available from Sony.

I'd love to get the VER 2.01 and 2.50 upgrades loaded!
