I was just wondering if there is a new line of Axioms coming out anytime soon? Isn't time to update them?
Especially the look of them? I think Rockets are selling more and more due to their look and I think that it would also help Axioms sell more. To who ever I spoke to, the biggest complain is the look and the vinal finish on them.
Just wondering.
Chris.

Gee,

I ordered them because I thought they were cuter than the Rockets, and the Paradigms, and the PSBs, and the B&Ws. Truly, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

i would agree with little b.. i reckon its what you want the speaker to look like that determines your choice.. with the WAF influence, the ability to get the axioms in my choice of a custom finish was a great selling point. the rockets come in the same 2 colors, which may be very beautiful, but they dont match with the rest of my living room.. i think you would be hard pressed to find an axiom owner that wasnt happy with the look and finish of their speakers.

Hmmmm. My purchase was based on the quality of the audio. Most any speaker will appeal to someone from an aesthetics perspective. I find I enjoy mine most with my eyes closed and my right hand wrapped around a glass of Gentleman Jack.

i just figured that was a given in my scenario.. i meant if you had two great sounding speakers, and the choice came down to which one looked better.

of course, i went on blind faith.. or, deaf faith, as it may be.. i had never heard the speakers, i just assumed all you maniacs couldnt be wrong!!

I (am) cho(osing) the Axioms over the Rockets cause well, they seem to have a better value. I believe I will have as good if not better sound for less money (they are cheaper!). Yes the Rockets look great but you buy speakers for sound (most ppl anyway )

...I really need to order already!

Ray, I agree. Although in my case it's Knob Creek or Lagavulin in the glass.

John, they're ALL beer/spirit threads

Maker's Mark for me, btw.

I've prattled on about it before, but since we are perpetuating yet another Onix thread here, I'll again submit that part of MY decision-making process dealt with a commitment to jobs and manufacturing based in North America. Exotic wood of varying quality from another continent is simply not an inducement to me; the economic health of our communities is. Axioms sound great, they look appealing to my eye, and I wanted to patronize a company that demonstrated values closer to my own.

I deserved that...but in all fairness, that politics thread seems to be quite handy so far. And besides, there's no scotch/bourbon/whisk(e)y thread.
