man, you guys are tough!! does it always have to be the best, and every drop be exquisite?? dont get me wrong, i can dig on some good, high-end beer every once and a while.. but i have no probs with some ice cold bud light, lone star, shiner blonde, or classic yella bellies!! or some tecate or dos equis with some mexican food!!

it dont have to be GREAT, for me to enjoy it.. as long as its good, and cold, i can pop the top on just about anything!!

It's cold where those folks live, bigjohn. Heavy beers are just too much in the summers here - 96* yesterday.
I just loaded the garage frig with MGD, Bud and Coors Light. MGD sucks, but it's OK if it's ice cold. As it starts to warm up it is absolutely putrid.
BTW, Canadian friends, Labatts is nasty down here. And the Fosters that is now made by Labatts is nasty, too!

you guys are killing me.dewars was my every day scotch, and when funds would allow, johnny black was the favorite. as for brews, copper ale, brewed in vermont was my last beer of choice. well...for a few weeks, to keep piece, not peace, with the wife, sadly it's been fake beer. my beer swilling neighbor calls it ***** beer. so in case you're interested, which you probably are not, the newest choices have been: clausthauler, buckler, kaliber, and hack becks. sorry about spelling, reading beer labels now is not as interesting. so the pieces are better, i've lost a few pounds, and need new jeans. alas, the bottles in the garage 'fridge still look back at me as i reach for a fake beer.
i remain a sober, and thinner axiomite.

bigwill, if she likes vsop, try pierre ferrod (sp). it makes vsop taste like bose.

yikes! you sound like my neighbor. he knows there's no light beer allowed in the beer 'fridge at my house. you know, cold water ain't bad either.
