Sure you can! A receiver is really not much different than a computer. You'll have to mod the case, too, but I'm sure it's doable.
It will be ugly, though.

Actually, the lowest db fan I found is silenx. They range from 9 to 14 db. I decided not to "re-invent the wheel" so I am going to put a resistor in line with the stock fans to lower their speed and, ergo, the noise. I mean these suckers spin, 3000rpm, when all is said and done hopefully they will be quieter.
That is the only bad point with pro amps....I have even been told that for HT you could probably get away with unhooking the fans all together. You'll never drive the amp to its max of a continuous 260 watts.
That's what I read...I'll let everyone know how the mod turns out.
