Hi all, I have a wire pulled for subwoofer that did not have the connectors installed. Can someone tell me what kind of connectors are used for sub cables, and how I can install them by myself? Thanks much.

You will need RCA connectors. The exact type depends on the type of cable you are using.

I am using the standard cables used for subwoofer connection to the receiver... I don't know the different types, I just know that it is the same as ones you can purchase from Monster and other brands, except without the connector.

Find out what the make and model of the cable. The reason for this is to mate the correct connector to the cable. Cables from different mfg's are likely to have size (O.D)differences. Is it a coax based cable or two wire?

It is a coax based cable, not a two wire.

Do you know who makes it? Is it just plain Home Depot type coax?
As long as it's 75 Ohm cable you should be fine. You will need to do some soldering. Canare make a good connector, "F-10" I believe.

Here's a good DIY "How To". SoundHound contributed this on Outlaw Audio's forum.

Let me know if the page doesn't work. I'm not an html guru or even close
