I ordered my 60's v150 2 qs8 2 FMB's on Thursday evening by email. They arrived today in perfect condition! I don't have my new amp yet, but with my Dolby pro logic Kenwood (65 watts 12 years old)they sound phenomenal. Even my bootleg Dead tapes sound good(ok some of em). I can't wait to get a real amp and a sub and some m3 in the back. I never auditioned these although I did hear lots of others in the store. Theses are great. I am having fun moving everything around. It's amazing how changing position a foot and a few degrees affects the sound Anyway I'll stop my rambling. Thanks to the techs online and forum people for help in learning ,choosing and setup. I will have zillions more questions on setup when my amp arrives

Still not sure but leaning towards The Denon 3805 although it's pretty steep. I may wait around a month and see what's new. I think Onkyo is releasing some new amps. I think I also need to research brands I know nothing about that people here keep mentioning; NAD HK and Rotel. Like I said the separation and sound in my front 60's and 150 with the old Kenwood is impressive so I know 5.1 6.1 or 7.1 will be phenomenal! Any input is always appreciated.BTW I also hung the qs8 even though I have no wires with the fmb. Very easy and a great look. My buddy is a carpenter/electrical kind of guy so hopefully we can fish wires through the ceiling on Wed or else it'll be some serious drilling!

Many people are into the Yamahas 1400, 2400 and the Denon 3805 ou mentioned. In that similiar class Pioneer Elite is supposed to be pretty nice.
I throw these out to you..becuase it just keeps getting more and more confusing! LOL
BTW Yam should also have some new stuff soon.
I am leaning toward YAm for price to performance ratio. Still that DEnon is real nice.
I really can't decide, so thats why i too am waiting bit.
meanwhile I am still digging the new Ax.s all around--except my rear channel keeps clipping out.

izub, you should be able to get some real good receivers pretty cheap here in the next few weeks/months.. the companies are coming out with the new lines, and you can find the old ones real cheap..
example.. instead of the new denon 3805, look for the 3803.
instead of the new onkyo 902, look for the 901.
etc.... you will be able to find some terrific bargains, just be patient.. easier said than done, right??

Yeah I'd check ecost.com and check for a slightly earlier version.
maybe a 4802 would be cheaper than a 3805. you'd be surprised!
good luck,
Ravi

Zub, glad to read that you're enjoying your Axioms. On the receiver, if you're attracted to the 3805 note that the 985 (identical to the 2805 except silver only)is very close to the 3805 and has the microphone included although the price is significantly better.

I am now considering the Yamaha HTR5790. Anyone have any thoughts on this receiver? (I have 60's in front, the 150 center, qs8's on the side, and nothing in the back.... yet, and an old sub that will eventually be upgraded but sounds ok) Thanks
