i have a nad c340 integrated receiver rated at 50 watts per channel. will it be adequate to drive the m60s i just ordered. i have a small livingroom approx. 13x17. also, should i set the soft clipping feature to "off"? would appreciate any response. thanks in advance.

Your C430 should drive M60s with no problem. NAD rates its amps very conservatively. 50 wpc really means 50 wpc, if not a bit more.
Soft clipping is designed to limit amp output to avoid distortion when driving the amp to its limits. Distortion could be harmful to your speakers. However, if you don't plan to be running the receiver at very high volumes on a regular basis, you might not ever reach the limits where soft clipping would kick in. Purists would say that soft clipping "colors" the signal when it engages, so some choose to leave it off.
Soft clipping is currently turned off on my T752, but that's not to say I wouldn't recommend using it if you plan to run your receiver at the threshold of distortion on a regular basis.
