Hello, thanks in advance for helping me out. I'm looking to purchase the Ecpic 50 set, seeing as it seems to be more then enough for me (:

Although I have been swaying towards the Onkyo TX-sr600 I see a lot of people here use Denon. Like the denon AVR-1803, seems to be popular. Your your opinion wich should i use with this set, and why? What is to make me purchase one over the other (:

Thanks!
Ayien

well we need to know your budget range...I am currently using TX-DS797 from onkyo...my option while I was still looking for a receiver is Denon 3802 and this onkyo, aparently Denon don't have any authorized internet dealer, which mean if you bought it over the internet you are not covered by their warranty. My friend bought his denon online from crazyeddie.com and since he know that Denon will not honor his warranty, he also bought a service warranty provided by a third party. And that's one of the main reason why I bought Onkyo aside from it;s a THX select certfied. By the way, if you are not living in NY, check out supervideoaudio.com their price are very low, their 797 price is around $699 plus $15 shipping (but they are not an ONKYO authorized dealer btw). enjoy.....

I really don't want to go over $500. I'm actually thinking the best bet is the onkyo tx-sr600.

Ayien, both of the receivers you mention are excellent. The main thing that would make you choose one over the other is if one has a particular feature that you want. The sound will be audibly identical.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.
