Free Sun Fire V20z server with purchase of Level 2 License and software. Total price before shipping is $195.00.
http://wwws.sun.com/software/javaenterprisesystem/opteron/
Server details:
The Sun Fire V20z server includes 2 AMD Opteron 244 processors, 2-GB (4 x 512-MB DIMMS) memory, 1 73-GB 10000 RPM Ultra320 SCSI disk, 2 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports, RAID 1, LOM software, 1 full height/full length 64 bit/133 MHz PCI-X slot, 1 half height/half length 64 bit/66 MHz PCI-X slot and CD/floppy drive.
I jumped on it. Being an integrator, I needed an additional test server.

Duuuuuuuude. What's the catch? All i can see is that you have to become their marketing bitch; ie use the software.

The catch is that you have to sign up for at least 100 users, each at $100 USD. Expensive.

The how'd he get it for $195? I guess I'm unclear on the concept.

Exactly, if you don't mind answering questions and being a mild marketing bitch, this is the catch. It's not $100 per employee. The Q&A section answers a lot of these questions.
I have a friend Sun and there are no hidden pitfalls.

You have to buy the license at $100 then you have to buy the OS software media at $95.00.

aha. Pity I have no use whatsoever for the thing. No AGP slot!
Would be cool to have, though...

Yup, that's my issue.
Um, yeah, the software's really nice, and ...stuff. I don't really know what it does, since I stripped out the drives, processors, and RAM to use in a different system...
