I spoke to CS at ECost. Refurbished refers to a box that was opened and returned. A Reconditioned item is one that has a flaw, either cosmetic or internal, that has been repaired by denon. I am also partial to believe that companies use this to sell merchandise in volume. I can't see Denon having this much reconditioned merchandise laying around. $699 is a hell of a deal for the 3805. My 3802 is a beast. I'm going to have to call up the specs on each and compare. Any thoughts on the two?
