The new G35 6 speed coupe is a very nice car. Great handling from the FM chassis, strong brakes, and a torquey 3.5 liter V6. I like it but did not fall in love with it. The interior is not something I could live with for 4 years, and the engine, although very strong, was cobby. Once you've lived with the turbine smoothness of a Honda (Acura) V6 (just about as smooth as the BMW I-6) it's hard to settle for anything less smooth. I also didn't like the feel of the G35's shift linkage.

The owners of our semiconductor company are millionaires many times over. Pretty close to billionaires.

They own an S500. Last year the husband bought a new Boxster to practice driving a stick, since he didn't know how. Really. Why you ask? Because his yellow Lambo Gallardo was on order. He got that a few months ago and sits it the no parking zone in front of the building. About a month after that, the wife got her brand new red Ferrari Spyder deliver to the office.

I want to be the one to sell them clutch plates...

The wife should immediately take out an enormous life insurance policy on your boss. It's nice that he's going to try to learn how to drive stick for his new Gallardo. The 500 HP Gallardo is one of the highest performance cars on the planet. 60 comes by in about 4 seconds, a bit quicker according to some. This 10 cylinder raging bull of an exotic can get an experienced driver into deep trouble - a bit too much pedal on an off camber curve, etc. Putting a novice to a manual transmission behind the wheel of one of these monsters is like giving a 5 year old your 9 mm Glock to play with. Good luck to him and his family.
