I love cars. Yes, low minded, unevolved, I suffer from a primitive affection for very few material things, cars and sound equipment. Both my cars have 6 speed manual transmissions, hence the user name, 2x6spds.
So, here's the big girl:
Over the years I've modified it ever so slightly - Dinan Stage II chip (bumps HP to 248 from stock 230), RM Racing Cold Air Intake and Kone Engineering exhaust - probably about 255 HP at the crank, XM Radio, Brembo Cross-Drilled, Slotted Rotors, Porterfield RS4 pads, Eibach ProKit Springs, Koni struts, 13.7 lb (very light) 17" wheels, gum ball tires, 6 speed manual transmission, GTech Pro Timed to 60 in 6.0 seconds flat.
I also have another 6 speed, this one my toy.
So, although the Legend is in perfect condition, is an absolute joy to drive, and has perfect monthly payments - $0.00- I feel the urge for something new.
I'm considering replacing the Legend coupe with an Acura TL 6 speed (white with camel leather interior), or, and here's the problem, a new Acura RL. They don't come with a manual transmission - this would be my first automatic (5 speed) in more years than I care to recall. So, if I get the RL, I won't be able to call myself 2x6spds, maybe 1x6spds+1x5spdA, that's awkward. Of course, if I keep the Legend and get the RL, I could slide - or if I get a TL 6 speed, I could be 3x6spds.
Anyway, anyone want to talk about cars?

Wow, both those cars sure are beauties. I really like the S2000. I've wanted either a WRX STI, or the ultra-cool looking Nissan 350Z. Unfortunately I'm a poor college student. If you want the ultimate in smooth looks, I like the Cadillac SLR. Did the Brembo's make a huge difference in you decceleration?

Well, if chesseroo were here I'm sure he'd suggest a name or two.... ba dum bum. But seriously, you'd have to register a new account and lose your addict status -- it's almost unthinkable!
If I were you, I'd go with the 2005 RL. With its SH-AWD system giving it the ability to dynamically distruibute power between the front and back axles, but also to move power between each rear wheel (up to 70% in either direction), it must be a blast to throw that thing around the road.

Yes, the S2000 is much too good for me, but they sold it to me anyway. I was also a poor college student - had a bicycle, then a motorcycle which I laid down at 40 mph, felt delivered by the Eternal One, never rode another.
Yes, the Brembos, superb pads and kevlar/teflon braided stainless steel brake lines made a big difference, both in pedal firmness and stopping power.

Yes, well Chess has his problems.
I haven't driven the new RL, but it looks like Acura has finally built a worthy successor to the Legend. I've heard rumors that Acura is considering building a coupe version of the RL, but it probably won't have a 6 speed manual either. Pity. If they offered the RL with a 6 speed, I'd grab one right away.

If I were gonna buy a new sedan, it just might be a Chrysler 300C. I'm 6'5" and my first consideration for a car is whether I'll fit in it.

I've got a WRX and I'm taking it to a track in just 8 days! I can't wait. It'll be a lot of fun to see what it can really do at speed.
