Both cars are nice choices. I got the Acura TSX right after they came out and generally love it. If it had the engine from the TL it'd be perfect. Oh, that and if it was real wheel drive, THEN it'd be perfect. I've not driven the RL or new TL but my guess is that the TL would feel a little more sporty than the bigger, heavier RL. Still, both cars would be great. Probably can't go wrong with either.

i like the look of the cars, but i have never been a sports car kinda guy.. i have always had trucks, or big heavy american cars, so speed was never really an option.

i did have a girlfriend that had an eagle talon 5spd stick. it had a turbo, and that thing was fun as hell to drive. my only problem was that it was a front wheel drive.. so you couldnt really do any power slides in it.. very peppy car though..

my current vehicle is a 97 chevrolet 1 ton, crew cab, long bed, with a 350..it aint much for speed, but it can tow just about anything you got!!!

rvcc, it's a 93 Acura Legend LS coupe, bought new in August 1993. It spends every night in my garage, and except for a bit of wear on the driver's seat's door-side bolster, and a bit of road rash on the front chin spoiler, it is in perfect shape. I don't think I can let it go, it is as close to a perfect lux/sports coupe as I've ever driven - not quite as sporty as the new 3 series, but certainly more luxurious. The Eibachs and Konis have lowered the car about 1.5" and the handling is beautifully snubbed and well damped. The 3.2 liter V6 is not a VTEC effort, but puts out 230 HP stock. It now puts out almost as much at the front wheels, thanks to the chip and intake and exhaust relief. I think if I get a new car, I'll keep the Legend anyway.

Love the WRX. The 300C is a nice effort, nice gangsta look, and quick if you choose the 340 HP hemi. Not for me though. The Eagle Talon in non-AWD trim is a hoot, tossable if you're willing to abuse the parking brake.

I'm not surprised, BigJohn. Doesn't everyone in Texas drive a truck?

"Minivan Driver in NH"

I made a similar mistake... when our "tore up from the floor up" rebuild of a '78 LeBaron started showing signs of age again, I told the better half... here's the Auto Trader, find yourself a 'new' car.

I picked out a pimped out Fifth Avenue... 3" lift, limo tint, you get the picture. Checked in a few days later to see if she'd gone to see it, she'd "forgotten" to call until that night and it was sold... but, there was another car...

And that's how we bought a Pontiac Tempest... flagship car of 45 year old spinsters everywhere.

Even her little sister came out when we first pulled up and looked quizzically at it and said "you bought an' ol' lady car?"

Once had a 66 Pontiac Tempest coupe with the 326 cid HO V8 4bbl dual exhaust 4 speed and Flowmasters ... funny, not a granny car.

We're talking the 90s Tempests - a Beretta by any other name.

I'm only on my second car, and I'll drive my current one until it falls apart. I guess that's my general philosophy on "un-cheap" posessions.

Speaking of cheap - I can't justify a brand new car - it's a bad investment - drops what, 30% of it's value when you get a block away from the dealership?

Sometimes I guess I'm too tight for my own good... like ol' Sam Whazzizname that owned Wal*Mart, multi-millionaire and still drove a '78 pickup with dog bite marks on the steering wheel.
