At least I have my new M60s to keep me warm - or well keep my ears bleeding .

Take solace in the fact you're not alone.

*Currently taking a break from listening (err, make that BASKING IN) the rich, smooth, and powerful sounds of "Queen: Live at Wembley '86" (HR-61104-2).*

It is amazing the kind of realism these M60s offer on this recording. If I pump up the volume to having peaks of 115+ dB C, I can FEEL myself being there... So amazing from a pair of such inexpensive speakers.

That makes me feel better more than any medicine .

Then there is something going around, as I used to hear mothers say when I was a child. About 4 days ago I thought I was dying. Man, that was terrible. Hang on, DJ, it will pass.

I hope it's not contagious! Remind me to wash my hands after I'm done browsing this thread.

I hate being sick so I'll do ANYTHING to make it go away.

-120F baths? Bring them on!
-Shop-vac sinus evacuations? Three a day!
-Need something to get everything moving? Snort some Listerine! (you think it burns the MOUTH!?!?)

I prefer spicy soups for sinus-clearing. My favorites are:

Tom Yum Kai -- a delicious Thai hot-and-sour seafood soup
Chinese Hot and Sour Soup -- Chinese (duh) egg-drop style soup

Either of these will have your sinuses draining in no time. Have plenty of tissues on hand.

I just eat a fresh (not pickled) jalapeno pepper (no kidding).
Theyre loaded with vitamin C and the heat will clear the worst of blockage. (either direction)

I feel for you DJ. I just finished missing a whole week of work because of pnuemonia. I'm quite positive I've never been that sick in my life, had absolutely no energy to get off the couch. Worst part is not having anyone to nurse you back to health either. My gf hasn't moved up to Saskatoon yet, so I was stuck looking after myself for 4 or 5 days.

The doctor I visited originally did a wonderful job on the diagnosis too. She did a couple of tests (mono & strep) and they both turned up negative, so it must be a virus. "Sorry, we can't do anything for you". It got worse and I went back 4 days later and the next doctor took one look at me and called it. Sure wish I had seen him in the first place, it would have saved me a lot of grief!

Hmmm, well, went to the Billy Talent concert last night (with Death from Above and Metric) and to add to my list of ills, I'm now deaf too. Think I'll just rent an appartment across from the clinic.
