I have been reading posts in this forum and I have decided to go ahead and buy my home theater. I have ordered the following:
Denon 3803 - expected delivery by first week November
Sony 65WV700 - expected delivery by last week of October
Entertainment Center
I am planning to use Epic 80 for my sounds and also use my old Pioneer DVD (DV343). For wires I thought I will be using AWG12 for all runs but I noticed that the price difference between AWG12 ($.99/ft) and AWG16($.37/ft) is noticeable. I will be placing my QS8's at about 25 feet wire length, the rest of the speakers will be less than 10 feet wire run.
Alan has been very helpful in all technical aspects but I feel comfortable being a member of this fine group.

Ed, you should be very happy when you get all set up. So far as the speaker wire goes, 16ga lampcord would be adequate for a 25 foot run to your 6 ohm QS8s and far more than adequate for your 10 foot runs. You should be able to get it for quite a bit less than $0.37 a foot.

Ed, RadioShack or any place that sells hardware or electrical wiring should have it for about half or less of that price.

You can get 12 guage wire from Home Depot for $.47/ft if memory serves. I'd go that route.

Semi On,
That sounds a lot more reasonable. I will visit them this weekend.
Thanks
