Hello,
I have M&K speakers for my fronts/center and I'm thinking about getting the Axiom QS-8 for my rears. This is mainly a 5.1 home theater setup but I'm still worried about timbre matching.
Anybody in this forum that has non-Axiom speakers in the front and Axioms for the rears please chime in.
Thanks.

Awhile ago, one of the most copiously posting memebers had Hales up front, with a VP150 center and QS8 surrounds. He was very happy with it.

While it is optimal to have all speakers matched, IMHO it is less important that the surrounds match the front 3 speakers, than that the front 3 match each other. Although I cannot site "chapter" and "verse," on other forums, I have run across a few who have happily used QS series surrounds with fronts and center from other manufacturers. The QS surrounds do such a fantastic job, that I believe it's worth a try.

DmcMan,
The M&K speakers are fairly neutral, and the QS8s will make a smooth blend with the M&K satellites at the front.
