I was wondering which, if either, that you use to fill your stands, and does it make any difference? I just want to keep my stands more stable.
I was thinking the sand is cheaper, but concerned it may leak
thanks

I've never used either as I am fairly new to hi-hi, but I read somewhere that putting whatever you use in plastic/ziplock bags helps the leaking problem

I was entirely too stupid to think of any sort of plastic layer down the tube (and now she's three weeks late...), and...oh, nevermind. I can't imagine it makes a lick of difference. I filled mine with sand and it does the job just fine.
