Talk about timing! After months away from this board, I came back on Nov 14 to find news of a price increase. So, in the interest of "saving money", I am about to become about $1600 poorer.

My cart now contains an M60 / VP150 / QS8 / M2 B-stock system, all in Black Oak. The theater room is nowhere near completion, but I know what I want, and I'd rather have the toys early than pay more for them later. Even the wife agrees (she just loves a bargain).

I will fill out the rest of the system (someday) with an SVS 20-39 PCi or PC-Plus, Denon 3805, Sanyo PLV-Z3, and a yet-to-be-determined upsampling DVD player.

So much for the holiday budget . . . "Complete This Order" . . . CLICK!

I'm glad you got the deal! I think you will be very impressed with the sound. There’s no turning back now .
I have the black oak too and it looks very realistic.
Have fun! It sounds like your on your way to a very nice setup.

I'm glad I got the deal, too! Luckily, I am not in a hurry. The quoted F.O. lead times for Black Oak are:

M60ti: 5 weeks
VP150: 2 weeks
QS8: 9 weeks
M2i: 3 weeks

so I should be receiving a bunch 'o boxes late January. Until then, I will be fighting the urge to grab a B-stock Denon AVR-3805 from Dakmart.

Man you sound just like me, I had to get all of my toys early, see below....Tomorrow will be the third day I've been working on hanging drywall on the ceiling in my basement, 30 4x12 sheets, and that is just the ceiling, can't wait to start on the walls...congrats, and you will absolutely love these little gems....

Like you in several ways, it seems. Two guys named Randy with tech careers, both building basement HT using Axiom sound driven by Denon and lit up by Sanyo front projectors. What can I say, great minds think alike.

You are definitely ahead of me on your project. I have a long way to go before sheetrock goes up, but that's one job I won't do myself. I am doing the framing, plumbing, and electrical. That's quite enough work for me with a full kitchen, full bath, 2 bedrooms, laundry rough-in, pool table and pinball areas, plus the 8-seat theater space. Hanging drywall just ain't my thing, especially on the ceiling! Good luck with yours - my neck hurts just thinking about it.

When my Axiom bundle arrives, the basement will be in no condition to accept new speakers. So I guess I'll just have to set them up temporarily in the Family Room for auditioning. I already have an RBH Sound in-wall/in-ceiling surround system in that room with an old 35" Mitsubishi tube - it's not what I would call "HT", but it's good for general movie watching.

My plans had included the Z2 up until the Z3 came out. The higher contrast and ever-so-slightly quieter fan noise swayed me toward the newer model. Of course, if I can get a great deal on a Z2, I may still end up with one. What kind of screen are you lighting up with your Z2?

Four weeks ago today I ordered my factory outlet system, and I wasn't expecting to receive the shipment until late January. But today I got the golden e-mail from Amie - I'm getting Axioms for Christmas! Nine boxes left Ontario on Santa's sleigh (a.k.a. FedEx) and they are on their way to me. No way these will fit under the tree!!

HO HO HO

Great News Racer, even if they could fit under the tree I doubt they'd stay in their boxes long enough to get wrapped.

You're gonna have a great time with those beauties, enjoy and be sure to post some pics when the chance arrives...

Cheers, Mike

BTW: sweet ride...

I'm 6 days shy of 6 weeks and I still haven't received an email. I called up and they said they were ahead of schedule and my shipment should get to me early. What a crock! If my speakers are late I'm going with Rocket 750's.
