Hi everybody! This is my first thread here at Axiom's...I'm a prospective buyer of a pair of M22s but since the price increased I'm considering other options so what a better place to look for opinions than this forum?
What are your impressions while comparing M22s to Swan's 2.1s?
I know they are different sets (3-way vs 2-way), different woofers, etc....but sound-wise. I've heard very good things about both sets but definitely would be interested in your opinions...
Thanks!
Don't die wondering...

Luis, welcome. It's unlikely that anyone here(and maybe anywhere else)has made a simultaneous comparison between the M22s and Swans. Judging from reports based on casual listening, which you've probably also read, the Swans are a more "laid back" type of speaker, which wouldn't be to my taste. The M22s which I've had for almost three years now suit my listening needs perfectly and I've never heard anything in the category that's better, regardless of price. I had a chance a couple of years ago to make a head to head comparison with a colleague's similar sized speakers which were very highly regarded and cost almost six times as much. There were slight differences in one area or another, but overall the M22s were similarly good. If you want accurate speakers that don't try to cover up blemishes in poorly recorded material, but let good material sound its best, they're a terrific bargain, even with the price increase(the price had been the same for at least three years).
