I finally got everything rehooked up in my basement and I went to run the firmware software for my 2910 and the directions say to have the player hooked up via Video or S-Video. I have mine hooked up via DVI right now and I really don't want to have to unplug everything. The question I have is, does anybody know if it will be okay to run the software while I have my TV hooked up the way I do?

I could be wrong, but I believe the reason for this, is because as your updating the firmware, you will need to view a display of the progress/results, etc...I don't think you'll see anything via the DVI connection. Isn't there a way you can just hook up a smaller tv that you may own and place it nearby the player, just to update the firmware. Again, I could be way off base, and someone else may step in here and say...Sirquack...NOT

Anyway, I'm thinking about also getting the 2910 for my Sanyo Z2 projector....good luck
