I just made a purchase of a pair of M22ti's for my office, and I was wondering if any of you could provide an opinon about speaker stands - should I purchase the Axiom stands? Are there others just as good or better that don't cost a fortune? Thanks for your feedback. This purchase was a bit of a leap of faith - purchasing speakers I've never heard but bought based on the amazing product reviews is what I did. I have a Home Theatre system as well, so this is to keep me happy when I'm working in my office....

I just bought a pair of M22Ti's as well (Boston Cherry). (I'm sure I'll like them as I already have the Epic 80 system and I'm loving that.) I plan to use the M22s as rear channels for 7.1 sound for Home Theater, and as directional speakers for DVD-A and SACD multi-channel music. For speaker stands I looked at http://www.racksandstands.com/ and http://www.standsandmounts.com but decided to go with the Axiom stands. I trust they'll be fine and I think the height is right (tweeter height should blend well with the M80Ti's). If stability is a big issue, you may want to look at metal stands in which the upright tube(s) can be filled with lead and/or sand for added mass and sound absorption. I prefer the look and feel of wood, though. Good luck.

I bought the axiom stands when I bought my M22ti's. They look nice, but they aren't terribly stable (very light). I also preferred the M22's to sit higher than that stand provided. (I preferred 24-30" over the 16").
RacksandStands.com has the best selection, and usually best prices. If you find something you like somewhere else for less, they'll price match as well. (Just give them a call)

I have a pair of Atlantis stands for my M22s that I've been very happy with. The only thing I'd suggest is to pay attention to the dimensions of the top plate. The M22s have a very narrow footprint and I had to search carefully to find a good, sturdy stand that didn't have two inches of the top plate exposed with the speakers sitting on them.

I should point out that the stands that Axiom sells now are not the same as the one I bought. Their new ones may be better.

I bought mine about two and a half years ago here, but it looks like they don't carry them any more.
You can find the same stands (24 inches) here, and here's a better picture.

Dmn23,
How did your M22ti fit the top plate on those stands? isn't the plate larger than your speakers? Thanks

There's a little overhang, but it's toward the back and not really visible at all. Forgive the crude graphic, but looking from the top it's a bit like this:
