I'm thinking about purchasing some m60s. Will I have any trouble running them with a Yamaha HTR 5730? I beleive it's 100 watts/channel. Currently, I'm a music listener.

Thanks for your input!

It'll be just fine. The M60s are relatively sensitive speakers, meaning they do not need a whole lot of power to drive them to somewhat high volume levels. Basically, if your reciever is solid and well built, you can use them.

Unless you need very high volumes in a pretty large room, you won't have any problems. As Ken said, the M60's are pretty efficient, and won't present any more of a load problem to your receiver than any other mainstream speaker. If you can listen to your current setup at satisfying volumes, the M60's will not pose a problem.

My room is 32x14x9. I do like to turn it up sometimes. I don't plan on BlASTING the music, but I do think once in awhile ya gotta turn it up!

You have plenty of power. M60s are so efficient in most cases you won't be over 1 watt per channel. That's hard to believe but true.

If you have a powered subwoofer it will further off load the speakers and amp, since most power is required for bass frequencies.
