"Can my AVR 430 (70 or 75W rms) handle them?"
Yes. HK rates their receivers very conservatively and they handle low resistance loads very well.

Hey dchui, hope you haven't given up on Axiom yet, but I sense based on your posts on AVSforum, it may be to late? I was sorry to hear that your having no luck getting a response back from the person on the Audition list in your Calgary area. I hope those AVS'rs that like to bash Axiom, are not scaring you off

When I was searching for speakers it was my utter disappointment with a pair of B&W 602s3 that brought me to the Axiom site. My thinking then is that there has to be something better than this. Following the advice of a wise and venerable board member, I ordered a pair of m22s. I ordered unheard, as at that time I was running out of patience. Furthermore, I was downright stunned that the B&W speakers, which had sounded so good in the store, sounded just horrible in my home. I don't know the reason for this. I don't know if the B&Ws need a considerable amount of time to break in or if my gear just wasn't up to snuff. My receiver at the time was a Yamaha HTR-5280. Any speaker I had tried out on this speaker had always sounded fine before. Except for this one time. And it was a major downer.
I know I've said thank you before. But, I'm going to say it again. Thanks, Spiff, you rock!
