Well I have made my speaker decision and will purchase Axiom. I need your honest opinion. My room is 15' x 15' x 8'. I am thinking about the M60ti front towers, VP150 center, and 3 - QS8's for rears mounted from the ceiling. Receiver - Denon 3805 / Sub - SVS 20-39PC-Plus. Question 1 - Is the VP150 too much center for my room size? Question 2 - Is 3 QS8's in the rear overkill? If I'm putting too much in this size room let me know. Thanks

Honestly? No, I don't think so. If there was one unnecessary element, it'd be the VP-150 over the VP-100, but even that I think you're OK on. I think you're well set, and made some great choices!

I agree with Engine_Joe. Sounds like a great set up to me. I can't comment on the VP100 since I don't have one.

I'd be inclined to drop the 3rd QS8 as it won't a much for you. Also, the 20-39 Plus is a bunch of sub for that room. I use a 20-39 PCi in my 16x22x10 room and I still have quite a bit left over.
Have you called Axiom and /or SVS to discuss your choices? They are terrific on the phone and will give you th eguidance you need for the right choice.

Scott:
I have the M60s, VP150 and 2 QS8s in a room that's 13' square.... so my personal opinion is that you'll be fine with your Axiom choices.
I know that there's a general concensus around here regarding "you can't have big enough subs!", but is this an awful lot of sub for this room? Anyone?
I have an Axiom 350 and it's not even at the 11 O'Clock position!

I too cannot comment on the VP-100 because I went with the 150 (which works great in a 12-20ft room for me) IMHO I would go with the 150 for two reasons.
1. You may not be in a 15 x 15 room forever and 2. You won't have to suffer the with the agonizing upgradeitis "What if?" disease.

I think the best way to deal with the what-if problem is to constantly complain that you're the only one on the boards with those speakers and wonder why no one recommends them.
That said, I'd probably go with the VP150, given the choice. That's mostly an appearance thing. If Axiom would make the grill on the 100 narrower, I think I'd like it better. It's a nice speaker, though.

I would go with the VP150, my current living room is about that same size, and I would not want to go smaller. Also, I have 4 qs8's with the Denon 2805, and enjoy 6.1 material, as well as PLIIx material. Personally, I think the rear channels do provide a benefit of just 5.1, just my 2 cents.
