All- Still playing w/my EP500. (This thing is a beast), and when watching Mulholland Drive DTS dvd last night, I noticed that in the scenes that David Lynch just pumps ridiculous ambient LFE to the sub in the mix, at the low end, I can actually here the cone on the sub moving/rattling pushing the air? Is this normal, or is my cone loose or something? Not to mention it rattles everything in the entire apartment.

darthkringle,
This reminds me of some subwoofer testing I did quite a few years ago with kcarlile. I used my computer to generate test tones starting at 10Hz and upward. On the extremely low tones, the woofer is mmoving slow enough that your ear can make out the individual in-out motion of the cone.
I don't think you should be worried about any "bottoming-out", since the digital amp's algorithms should prevent that.
