I still say to have the option of real wood veneer would be great.
I would pay the extra, but i guess the question is, would enough ppl pay the extra to make it worthwhile for Axiom?

I think a lot of people would pay the extra bucks for a wood veneer. It would also open up Axiom to the real "audiophile" market, where people don't even flinch at spending upwards of 3 grand for speakers.
If not real wood, a high gloss piano finish would be a HUGE success...the Acoustic Research HC6 looks like it costs far more than 800 bucks.

My vote would be for a real wood veneer option and I would have paid more for it

I have talked to Amie before about this. I believe the piano gloss black is available for a couple of hundred bucks more. I know sometimes eggshell white is available but I think thats it.

I missed your post before.
It actually pisses me off a bit that this information isn't made available. I now have $2500 worth of speakers I would have gladly paid a bit more for a high gloss finish. That's a bit disappointing.

But you know High gloss finish is good for a year. After that all of those scrapes, bumps and stuff you place on top of your speakers will show. My sub is piano gloss black. Its only 3 months old. I see areas where it looks like a SOS pad went scratching away. And i don't even know what did it. Have to check with the better half. Hopefully she did not use it as a ladder when I was away since she is only like 5'0"

Saturn is right.
We used to have a piano at home, it got scratched a dirty far too easily. However, real wood, that I would pay for. Totem speakers are VERY nice in mahogany..
