You are a true gentleman Ken, and I really REALLY couldn't have asked more from you.

Ease up everyone or I will have to use force lightning on you.

Did I just say that? Oh boy, I feel a sarcastic response from Peter on its way.

Wait, wouldn't it be us using force lighting? "Anger leads to hate, and hate leads to the Dark Side." </yoda> I thought force lightning was a Dark Side power...

Hey, how come Vader didn't use force lightning? I'm sure it's explained in one of the myriad books, but I tend not to consider those canon. I know Lucas does, but I just can't reconcile that many different authors with that many conflicting stories.

MiniRock,

I don't think you're grasping the concept of inflation adjustment. Movies with sound in them were cutting edge technology at one point, and the introduction of sound playback equipment probably boosted the ticket prices for movies back then. $1 in the 1930s was worth a heck of a lot more than it is today. That's why adjusting for inflation is important.

It is because a ticket cost about 20 cents in the 1930s that it is important to adjust that figure upward if you're trying to make any sort of meaningful comparison to movies being released decades later. Not as many people have to see a movie today for it to gross more than a movie from the the 30s.

I understand what you are saying Peter; and, believe it or not, I do grasp the concept of inflation adjustment. As a man who is retired at 33, I'd like to think I have a good grasp of economics. My view is still the same; to me, the adjustment is bogus. I'm sure we could all go round and round tonight, and since I have already made my point, I think it's time to move on. I want to thank you, though, for keeping this civil. I know you and I have butted heads in the past, so this says much.

Here's the shot of the Sideshow General Grievous I was talking about a couple pages ago:

Impressive. Most impressive.

For all us gamers. Looks like Battlefront II will be released the same day as the ROTS DVD. Looks like it'll be a full day of movie watching and game playing for me. Too bad the Clone Wars Season III DVD doesn't release until December though.

Video Business is reporting that Episode III will not be released on VHS, only DVD. I was a bit shocked that a movie that is this popular would not be released on video. Just another sign that VHS is on its last legs.

Pardon my ignorance, have they released Clone Wars Season II?

I have not seen it...only I.
