OK folks, I am new to Axiom as of this morning! My cousin recommended Paradigm, but from what I can see from all the posts, it seems going with Paradigm Mini Monitors, is not the way to go. So help is needed.
First off, I am using this mostly for Home Theater, with a little music, like Patty Griffin, Dave Mathews, and my favorite Piano Player, Tori Amos!
I just bought a Denon AVR-3300 and will be running it 5.1. Now I am sorry, but my budget will not allow me to get M22ti's right now. So first, Would you say a pair of M2i's or M3ti's for front? Second, a VP100 or a M2i for center? I know I am doing the QS4 for surround. And third, PLEASE help with a good subwoofer for HT that will sound good with this set-up? I am looking for the best Sub I can get in the $250-$350 range. Any help I could get would be GREAT! I want to get this bought asap, as this brand new Denon is just sitting here with nothing to hook it up to! LOL! Thanks all!

I have not had the pleasure of listening to the M3i's, but I do have an 3 M2i's (fronts and centre) setup in my bedroom, and it sounds great. I have a VP100 in my main HT setup, and actually the M2i's does a very respectable job in centre channel duty compared to the VP100. For the price it will be the cheapest way to go and still get very good sound.

Welcome aboard.

Thanks for your input. Well I have decided to take my time with this system and do it right! LOL! After all my research last night here is what I came up with. Today I will order a pair of Cherry M22ti's for the front. A single Cherry M2i for the center. Next month I will buy a pair of Cherry QS8's for surround. And I am trying to locate a good used HSU-VFT-2 sub. I think this will meet my Home Theater needs quite fine, but of course any input on this would be great! Yahooo's or BoooHooo's! LOL! What do you all Axiom experts think? Again, I have never heard these, so I am buying these based on the reviews. Thanks everyone!

Well folks, I could not hold on! LOL! I am an impulse buyer. If you read my first post you will laugh at this one. This is what I just bought:
M22ti pair Cherry for Fronts
M2i single Cherry for Center
QS8 pair Cherry for surround
EP175 Cherry for Sub
And have a Denon AVR-3300 which will run in 5.1 Mode.
I hope this is going to be good. This is what I bought, instead of what I originally was going to buy which was the following:
Paradigm Mini Monitor V2 for front
Paradigm Titan for Surround
Paradigm CC-350 for Center
And I never came up with a subwoofer.

I sure hope I made the right choice in the Axiom's I have heard the Paradigm's but never have heard the Axiom. In fact I had never heard of the Company untill yesterday! LOL!
Good luck to me, and to all you other Home Audio Folks! This is my first shot at a Home Audio system. I hope I made some good choices! The system I bought is based on all your Postings on this site, which I am very greatful! for!

You will be pleased with your purchase. I have heard the paradigms that you described except the CC-350 (is it 370?). The Paradigms are nice but the M2i sound better than the titan and the mini monitor. For less money, your Axioms will sound much much better.

You should be very happy...as a former owner of Paradigm Monitor 7's, Mini's and CC-370........I have no regrets about the switch to axiom.

You do indeed make quick decisions, Oak, but slow down a bit. The speakers you've picked are excellent, but maybe you can save a little money. The first point is that the QS8s are now available from factory outlet at 10% off; did you take advantage of this when you ordered? Also, note that Marc at Audioshop has a sale on the EP350 for about $420 U.S. plus shipping. This would be a bit less than the EP175 if it was at full price, so consider this(quickly).

Yes the CC-350 was the Center Channel before the CC-370. I opted for a M2i as my center channel in my Axiom set-up, due to all the posts, where people said they liked the spatial sound better then the AP100. I thought to, since it seems to be the baby brother to a "T" of the M22ti's which I ordered as my Front stage, I could not go wrong! I guess I will soon find out!

Sorry, I already did all the Math! LOL! It still came out to be about $70 cheaper for me to buy the whole system, then to buy all but the QS8's in the Factory Outlet. If I did that, I would not get the package discount. Now, the Sub maybe, However I think with my Modest Reciever Power, the 175 will work just fine for my needs. Again, this is my first system! Let me have a little room to upgrade! LOL! Thats half the fun! I have been doing car audio for 12 years, and my favorite part about getting a new car.. is not the car, but Mmmmm A new sound system! LOL! Well I will have this car for the next few years, so it was time to try a Home Audio system!!
