OK...I doubt many (if any) of you are interested, but I updated my website a tiny bit last night. Since such updates are rare, even a little one is a big event to me.

The site is simply an online gallery of my Daredevil original artwork collection. The latest additions are found on the Frank Miller page. (Yep...same as the Sin City guy)

The site will simply add ammunition to the arguement that I'm a total dork. Audiophile, AND comic book geek. Good thing I prefer the company of men. I don't think I'd have much luck with the ladies. LOL.

Cool. I hadn't realized Miller was involved in DD. I'm more familiar w/ his Batman work.

I think a comic reference came up a few weeks ago on one of the threads. Reminded me that I have boxes of comix that I have no idea what to do w/...

Frank Miller got his start with Daredevil. May 1979, issue #158. He was an instant hit. The title was nearly canceled, but his popularity saved it from cancelation. His initial run was from #158 - 191. He returned a few years later with 227-233, these seven issues are often considered the greatest comic story ever told. Miller's writing with the enormous talent of David Mazzucchelli's artwork is amazing. Definatly worth picking up.

Actually spiff, i went to funnyfarm comics the other day and the site no longer existed.
Its ironic that you posted this note about your new website just now.
Frank Miller is excellent.
Haven't read comics since i was a kid. My brother collected about 12 titles at one point and still has many in plastic wrappings. I know one defunct title is "The New Mutants" an offshoot of the "Xmen" series.

don't forget about Miller's run on Spider-man too, there's some good stuff in there. personally, Man Without Fear is my favorite though.

Miller's run on spider-man?

I know he did (drew) two issues of Spectacular Spider-Man back in the seventies (both featured DD), but other than that he's only had a few scattered spidey books throughout his career, no?

So spiff, what was your take on the Daredevil movie?
I thought it was rather shallow.
I also wasn't keen on the changes to Spiderman. What's wrong with a radioactive spider? Radiation can do many neat things to the body. I don't think they really needed to have it changed to something more modern and 'in the news' like genetic modification.
And the bio web shooters instead of the mechanical devices he made?
I was just upset.
Don't get me started on Xmen 1. Great casting though, but Hugh Jackman is a bit tall for the Wolverine part. Gotta love Patrick Stewart.

I was severely disapointed in the DD movie. The biggest problem was 1) they tried cramming too many classic storylines into one film. and 2) the director sucked. Everytime he had a chance to go too far with a scene or idea he did. Subtlety isn't in his directorial vocabulary. (Though I have to admit the new "directors cut" dvd is a bit better...still not great though.)

Loved X-Men, and enjoyed X2 even more. Not perfect, but very well done "comic" movies.

Same with the Spidey movies. The organic webs was a bit much though...if they were going to go that route, shouldn't the webbing have come out his backside?

Sin City is amazing. Perhaps the best comic adaptation I've seen yet. They literally brought the comics to life. Extremely well done.

I've been hearing good things about the upcoming FF movie...we'll have to wait and see. (I'm not a FF fan though)

What little I've seen of Batman Begins has me on the fence. The "look" is great, but I'm a little frightened of some of the stupid one-liners I've been hearing.

Gimme Tim Burton Batman movies over the 60's TV camp crap that they've been doing for the last thousand movies. Man, even the 60's comic books weren't that bad. Actually, some were pretty good...

I haven't seen any trailers for Batman Begins, but I can hope...
