I am planning to buy VP100 or VP150 and put them on top of the tube TV.
Is it safe for the TV?
Few years ago I bought one of the first WEGA TVs from Sony and
one of the problems was magnetic interference with built-in speakers on the side of the tube, which caused significant picture distortion.

Thanks

Hi,

You should be fine with either the VP100 or the VP150. The Axiom centers have extra magnetic shielding and neither of the above causes any picture distortion with my 28-inch CRT (cathode-ray tube) set. The other Axioms are shielded as well and my M22ti's and M80s don't cause picture distortion or color fringing.

My M3s were problematic directly atop the television (I needed to elevate them a few inches to eliminate magnetic interference), but the VP 150 has been problem free in the same location.

I have experienced problems with my VP150 under the TV. I have to have at least 6 inches of clearance between the two.
