No offense Ken . From what I've done and assume the calibration is independent of DD or DTS. The mic that comes along with the receiver is used for this explicit purpose. Each speaker sends out a (pink?) noise and the mic listens and records the settings. After all speakers have provided the noise to the mic, the player automagically calibrates all settings (distance, loudness, etc.) and its all done.
I did notice some surround settings on the 2805 but havent played with those in a while. However, dont recall many settings you can tweak for DD/DTS.

Aha! I didn't read closely enough, so I didn't see you were using the autocalibration. I'd check that manual to make sure it's not just doing DD. I don't have a 2805, so I don't know exactly how it works, but my H/K has separate calibration for everything, which can get a little tiring, let me tell you!
