That is great news Siroh! I really like my VP150 along with my other Axiom's. My son and I are watching Star Wars Attack of the Clones right now and the VP150 is doing a great job, as it should. Heck, it is an Axiom, what do you expect

I had upgraded my VP100 for the 150. I really enjoy knowing that I can really push the 150 without it wimpering. I was just listening to the Metallica DVD S&M in Dolby 5.1. The only thing that comes out of the center channel is the lead vocals. It is a great testament to the midrange capabilities of Axioms. It sounds so sweet when I crank it up. The 150 blends perfectly with my 60's. I can't tell where one ends and the other begins. In fact the only reason I know that the lead vocals were the only thing coming out of the center was because I did an ear check with my ear one centimeter from each speaker, just to see what was coming out.
Enjoy the 150, I am sure you will.
PS Try to place the 150 at the same level as your main's twetters. This will ensure seemlessness.

I starting to get the feeling that I'm the only Axiomite who uses a VP100. The VP100 club seems to be getting quite thin.

LittleB... you have QS8s and a VP100, I have a VP150 and QS4s... the 150 was overkill for my room, but... since it does take most of the workload during TV watching, made sense to me.

Bren,
Chances are that the VP150 would be overkill for my room, also. I don't have a problem with the smaller CC. It might even be a better fit for my narrow room.

Oh, amen... I'm not saying "biggest, fastest, farthest", I was just pointing out how everyone's got maybe a different priority on where their dollar should be spent.
One reason there isn't just a single HT solution.

No you are not the only one! I have a 100 on a system with 60s, 8s and a 350 sub in a 2600 cubic ft room, works great for me now *but* we are expanding the room to more like 4100 or 4300 cu ft so I'm thinking a 150 will be happening whenever the project finishes. Was contemplating the addition of anothet floorstander for the center but I believe the vp150 will work just fine.
I believe the 350 will also be replaced.
But in the meantime the 100 is working great.

According to Sirquack's poll 3 of 4 on the board use the vp150 vs the vp100. I'm a vp100 man myself purely decided by the relatively small size of my room and thriftyness of my spending habits. That and it seems to sound just fine (tv wise and movie panning scenes).

I think a lot of people might have ordered VP150s to deal with a bad case of "but what if I have regrets and covet the VP150"-itis. I also have a VP100, M60s, QS8s and very happy. There's a chance the VP100 might be a bit small for the new room (22 x 23) but I expect it will be fine.

spiroh:
I ordered mine last Thursday evening and it came yesterday afternoon, so the wait isn't too long.
My first impressions are that it is a major improvement to my system and I should have done this earlier. The wife doesn't like it sitting on top of the TV, but I am going to replace the TV with one of the new HD 1080P sets later on this year. When I do that, I will get some sort of cabinet. Maybe I ought to let her select the cabinet.

Ok folks just got the vp150. I must say I did not think it was this big. I have a 51" tv and it makes the tv look small haha. No worries though I will eventually make a custom shelf and put it on there. As far as the sound goes I do like hearing the more detail coming from the center channel. I was using my Klipsch center channel and altough it did an ok job I def like the VP150 more. It just blends much better with the 80s. Thanks for all of the help. Eventuallu I would like to upgrade the rears. I'm assuming QS8s are the way to go? I will only do a 5.1 setup.
