I'm looking into getting new mains for my system. I have read the great reviews on the M22's, and I'm thinking I'm going to be getting these, but I was wondering if the m40's would be better/worse mains then the m22’s. I'm looking for something that has true and accurate sound, and also able to fill a normal size living room with out any difficulties.

here's a review of the m22 http://www.soundstage.com/audio_frame.shtml
here's a review of the m40
http://www.soundstage.com/revequip/axiom_millenniam40ti.htm
basically the review say the m40 is similar to the m3ti, but the m3ti is maybe a better speaker over all. the m22 is thought to be slighly better than the m3ti, so from the m22 is the best choice. at least from these reviews. i actually had not thought about the m40 until last night, but after reading the three reviews i going to be getting the m22 later this week.

Perhaps the Factory Outlet models will allow you to move to the M40's if you wanted to do so.
Just a thought....

If you are planning on using a sub-woofer in your system I would suggest the M22s with the sub. The sub selection should be based around your amplifier power and room size. If you are not planning on a sub-woofer then the M40s are going to give you a lower bass response and I think this would be desirable to have.
