I have just begun to play around with my 3805 settings. I have a Denon 1910 running an optic audio cable to the 3805, and have a 7.1 setup, yet I hear more coming out of the side surround speakers, than the rear surround speakers....why is that?
Is that an indication my side surrounds are too close to my rear?

If you've calibrated your speakers then I wouldn't worry about how loud or soft they sound. If you're noticing the differences during movies, then it's probably intentionally mixed that way.

As long as it is hooked up/calibrated correctly this really is normal. The rear channels will not be as noticable as the surrounds. A lot depends on the material your watching. Try finding a movie that is done in 6.1, like some of the newer Star Wars movies, you should hear some action then....
