Can't believe it. It's really awesome!

Congrats! I had that same feeling when my wife told me back in the fall of 2003. My son is 11 months old now and the time has just flown by. Enjoy every moment of it. Good luck!

Congrats to all the new, upcoming dad's!

My new boy Diego is 2 weeks old. Have to admit, the 2nd one is easier. We're not as stressed about everything: sanitizing everything before it touches him, keeping germs away from him, picking him up on EVERY cry, etc. Although w/ 2 kids, it is pretty relentless...

Congrats, get ready for the ride of your life. This past weekend both our twin boys (1 year old) slept through the night for the second time in their short lives and my 5 year old daughter slapped a line drive over everyones head in her first official T-Ball at bat. Two priceless occasions.

The first time a kid sleeps through the night consistently truly a blessing. You're lucky your twins did so at one. I had to wait for the 15th month. Now we goes down at night so easily, I can hardly believe the trouble we went through.

And now I'm gearing up for round two. Adults are dumb.

my first boy didnt start sleeping thru the night til after he was 1yr old.. but, our 8 month old, he has been sleeping thru the night since about 4-5 months.. he will wake up once or twice a month and require some TLC, but he is pretty consistent.. we put him down at around 10-11 pm, and he is still asleep when i leave to take jacob to school at 7:30.

i would definitely say our second has been much easier than our first(knock on wood)..

Our daughter is now 10 months. She sleeps from 7 or 8 until about midnight. Wakes up for a quick feed and TLC then is out until 6.
For the first 8 months she was switching her sleeping pattern about every 3-6 weeks though. There simply was no pattern.
Every child is different and tricks do not always work. Lots of wives' tales about things to help kids sleep. The advice seems never-ending from those around you.

My 17 month old has been sleeping regularly from 8:00 - 8:00 for about 9 months now. At around 5 months, she was able to sleep from 8:00 - 1 AM, get fed, and sleep through the night. We are pretty lucky. With twins coming in August, I feel our luck is about to change.

Royce73, congrats and good luck with the twins. Our twins 1st year was an absolute whirlwind that went by in a heartbeat. Didn't get much sleep, but wouldn't trade a minute of it for anything.
