What difference does it make who you buy your sub from? It's a Klipsch sub (not that makes any difference to me) not a Costco sub. BTW, Costco in my area also carries $4k TVs, $20K diamond rings, Dom Perigon, Limoges sculptures, etc...
In that size room the original poster doesn't need an SVS or VTF 3. Period.

I think the debate is about "going deep into the bass" not "power and SPL". Good big subs give you both; but finding a small (aka good for a small room) sub that goes deep is tough. I think that's why the small Hsu was being suggested...

tne new SVS PB-10 is supposed to be a small package, that can dip to 18Hz. i should know here in a few months when my buddy orders one for his HT.

all he will lack is the surrounds, and a receiver.

Gaze, I'm sure that you'll really enjoy your M60s. If you're going to also spend good money on a sub there appears to be no compelling reason to select a mode on your 2500 which wouldn't allow you to use it. Even with speakers such as the M60s with good bass, a well-located and calibrated sub will give an even better overall result, both with two channel and multi-channel material.

I know, I was just giving you crap. Don't mind me... Remember, I'm the one with the Cambridge Soundworks sub...
