I think that you're best bet is on the wall behind you. Don't worry about that first reflection on the right side. There's enough dispersion in the speaker that it won't be adversely affected by this. Also, you could place a doorstop type device under or above the right side Q to prevent the door from banging it.
If your concern is being able to open the closet door, then, have you considered removing the closet door?

Does the front of the closet have an area above it which is not part of the doors, ie a fixed part between the top of the door and the ceiling ? If so, that would be a great place for on QS and the other could be ceiling mounted at a similar distance.

no, door goes to ceiling, i think i might do as pickard said and put a stop on the door so it dont hit the presious qs8

ceiling is only 7' as its in basement with drop tile ceiling

Ahh, yes. OK, another vote for "back wall and a door stop" or you could just put a rubber bumper on the right hand QS8

ill probably see if i can find like a 6" door spring (u know the things that go booiiing....) and mount it to the top of the door

Can just get one of these... I've got two of them in the house, one keeps the ensuite door from hitting a mirrored closet door, the other keeps the bathroom door from hitting the tub.
