Is there any good reason to spend the $$$ on a 3910 instead of a 2910? If the only big difference is the Denon Link, then I'm wondering if I couldn't save several hundred dollars here.

No sir. Denon Link be damned! The big advantage of the 3910 over the 2910 are the 3910's DACs - these are fabulous. I really am not exaggerating when I say the 3910 is the best piece of gear in my hardware setup. Ignore the Denon link, use the 3910's 5.1 analog audio outs.
Seriously. THAT's the advanage of the 3910 over the 2910. Ana amazing audio section.

I just got the 2910 Yesterday and trust me, it is no slouch in the audio department. I would say try out the two of them with the same equipment and see if you can tell a difference. I am sure your local Denon dealer would not mind.

How does 3910 (audio) compared to Rotel rcd-1072?
