I finally did it. Placed an order for a factory outlet M3 pair and one m2 for center. It's all i could afford for now, and I wanted something before Thanksgiving. I might have been swayed by those black Friday ads to get something else. I'm replacing a Cambridge SoundWorks ensemble IV setup. I'll keep 2 cubes for surround until i can get QS4s.

I have a Pioneer VSX-515 and a Infinity PS-10 sub and hopefully it will mate well with the Axioms.

Oh, you'll hear a fantastic difference. I went from Cambridge Soundworks Ensemble 1s to M50s. Amazing. You're gonna have some fun. \:\)

Welcome to the club! I recently got a pair of M3 for a relative (so I had them home for 3-4 days) and I was impressed by those tiny things. Very good sound, amazing price. You should be pleased by the result when you get them.

Rome,

I'm sure you will enjoy your purchase. Let us know how it sounds in comparison to your previous gear.

Just a warning... a single M3 is larger than your entire previous speaker system put together. ;\)

Out of curiosity why did you go with the M2 center opposed to having three M3's up front?

I chose the M2 for a center because of the size, its more accommodating in my entertainment center. Also the price. The $30 difference would mean I would have to wait another 2 weeks to get the M3. I was also in a toss up, between getting M2s across the front, or M3's, because if I got all of one, I wouldn't have a chance to hear the other. I was really pulling my hair with that. What I hope to try is setting up the M3s as full range, and cut off the M2 center and surrounds at 100Hz. I can set the receiver to still send the main M3 frequency <100Hz to the sub. I would also try cutting them all off at 80 and 100Hz. I would also be open to getting another M2 and move them to the surrounds and have a 4.1 system until I get a VP100. There's just too many options and I suppose I just need to get all the Axiom speakers I can get my hands on. Do I sound crazy? Or I can get one more M3 for the front and another M2 for the rear. That would be the most cost effective. Wife would have to get over the M3 center too.

Maybe change to order to all M3s and tell the wife that there was a mix up at Axiom.

I think the M2 center may just give you a little more vocal clarity for movies. Once you get them you can try one M3 as a center to see if you like it there as well, if you do you could send the M2 back (or keep it for use else where) and get a 3rd M3 after a couple of weeks. As this would be an upgrade I believe Axiom will pay the shipping charges.
