Here's a photo of my new home theatre seating from Palliser. I saved over $1500 by buying it from a company in the US eventhough it's made in Canada. And here's my new Denon AVR-3808CI, DVD-3930CI and Toshiba HD-A35. My Axioms have never sounded so good. I'm almost done, just a 1080p projector left to go...

WOW!
(I'd make a longer, more complimentary reply but the web site is slower than molasses in January tonight)

That looks like a nice, cozy room. A seat for you, me, Jason and Al. No point in inviting Robb because we know he won't come .

Bayne, your place keeps looking nicer and nicer, and I keep getting more and more jealous. Keep it up.

I ordered the chairs from The Theater Seat Store on-line. As I mentioned, I was quoted $3500 - $4000 for this configuration here in Calgary at a couple of stores--Sears and The Palliser Store. But The Theater Seat Store had a price of $2100 shipping included. And since Palliser is Canadian, I didn't have to pay duty. It's pretty sad that to get a decent price on Canadian made goods, one has to buy from another country--Axiom is one very nice exception, of course.

That is awsome and outragous that you had to get them from the states to save that kind of money. I had the same issue when I bought my Chevy Imapala, made in Oshawa, Ontario, (2 hours from my home) but thousands cheaper in the US. Even though the Canadian dollar is higher than the US.
BTW they look really cool! My wife loves the colour.

Great HT setup!! Is that leather or microsuede? I wanna quote Eddie Murphy in Coming to America...."what is that, velvet?!" The best story of x-border shopping is you can buy a Ski-doo or Sea-doo cheaper in the U.S. even though they are made in Quebec by Bombardier, a company subsidized by the Canadian government because it creates jobs in Canada. So Canadian taxpayers pay to keep Bombardier in business, but have pay a premium to buy their products in Canada. We gave to society the Delta Wing aircraft, Basketball, the Space Shuttle arm, Instant Mashed Potatos, portable bathrooms, but that is all countered by Government, Celine Dion and Rich Little
