Hi All, New to the forums. Im the process of picking out new speakers for the home theater, and have pretty much decided on the Epic Grand Master 350 system. My quetion is, my 6.1 and 7.1 speaker wires are locate in the ceiling behind the viewing area, would a second pair of QS8's sound OK mounted on the ceiling firing "down"?

You need to use one of these (or a similar product).

You would not want to have them firing down. You can ceiling mount them as many of us do either by using Axiom's ceiling bracket (kinda $$$), an omnimount, or a DIY mount.
