Hi everyone. I've recently ordered a pair of M5HP's. While I'm waiting for them to show up I've been trying to set my speaker sound levels for my current setup which is...
Onkyo TX-SR353
Paradigm titan V3 R/L
paradigm CC-170 V3 C
paradigm Atom V3 S L/R
I'm about 11' from the fronts/center, 5' from SR and 5' from SL. The woofer isn't working on my FR so I'm leaving that out of the equation. I just have an app downloaded on my phone for the spl meter but when I try to set the pink noise to 75db i can only reach it when my S L/R and FL are at +10db and my C is at +3db. Why is this?

A good thing is that the M5HPs don't have anything that will wear away until maybe 4 generations down the line. Lol!

Hey Corey couple things to try.

Turn your receiver volume knob up to -10 or so. Now Try.

Could be your app is using dbA weighting instead of dbC. dbA usually reads 10db lower or so. Make sure to set weighting to dbC.
