I joined a new message board - it's for residents of Fredericksburg, VA, where I'll be moving (back to) in a couple of weeks. One of the abbreviations used there is FUG for Fredericksburg. I thought the post count-related titles were worthy of mention:
0 FUG Freshman 25 FUG Sophomore 50 FUG Junior 100 FUG Senior 200 FUG Graduate 400 FUG Professional 700 FUG Frequent Flyer 1200 FUG Addict 1600 FUG Honcho 2500 Master FUGer 3000 Super FUG 5000 Mystical FUG Sage 7500 Mega FUG 10000 FUGmaster Flash 25000 FUG Dignitary 30000 Permanent FUG Fixture 50000 FUG For Life 75000 TheFUG

Been busy with the move back to Va and the new job, so I haven't been around as much. What did I miss? Here's a cool infographic, USA Today style, about what I do for a living. I realize the author is not exactly the biggest fan of me medic8ing everyone - Cam, is that you?! - but I still enjoyed the pretty picture. BTW, what he fails to mention is that six of the top ten are generic meds now and are dirt cheap. Prozac and Desyrel (trazodone) are $4 a month at WalMart and other big chains.

What did you miss?
Well, there was the free M80 V3 giveaway to people with between 4114 and 4116 posts that expired at 12:00 noon eastern time today, but other than that, not too much.

What is also not mentioned is that often these drugs are not nearly as effective as the industry would have you believe, and have more/stronger side effects than reported. Depression sucks, is still poorly understood and we only have crude tools to deal with it.
