I was supposed to see Tab Benoit tonight in that same venue where I saw Lake Street Dive. Unfortunately, there is snow predicted for that area from this afternoon through late tomorrow afternoon, and it's a 2-hour drive each way. I'm consoling myself by making plans to hang out in the wood shop cranking 5.5 hours of Tab Benoit tracks that I put together for the drive!

New England winters kind of suck.
Within the next few months, I have tickets for Yes at the Moore Theatre, Robben Ford at the Triple Door and Ann and Nancy Wilson at Benaroya Hall. And good-to-great seats in disproportionately small and luxurious venues.
I don't think we've had any snow in over a year.

So, your point is that although I was thinking this was sucky, it's even suckier than I had thought?

Does watching a concert on BR with the wife and a glass of wine in hand count? If so the tragically hip in bobcaygeon was almost as good as being there. I love having power to spare...

Hey Mark & Tom speaking of sucky roads and Tacoma...
I gave up on trying to get my VPN going and drove into work mid morning. Main roads were snow covered but the oft ignore secondary road that I live on was a real adventure. Just enough time between drifts to gain momentum to punch through the next drift.
Then I started hitting pools of slush were the road had flooded from the weekend's thaw and freezing rain. Often I couldn't see a thing from the heavy slush hitting the windshield but I was not daring to slow down as I could feel it bogging down my speed way worse than the snow, I had to keep looking in my rear view mirror to keep sight of something to stay pointed in a straight line.
Actually, on second thought, it was a lot of fun. Not sucky at all.

That's some fine driving technique right there. Toyota Tacoma - there's a fine line between brave and crazy.

Not last night....yet!!
But Sharon and I finally scored decent tickets to see Green Day in Quebec City on April 12th!
So exited!!! I think this actually completes my list of bands from my youth that I must see before I die. This one is perhaps the perfect big finish as they are actually still hugely relevant.

Greenday was AWESOME Friday night. I think what they do best is create pure energy.
