Belgians are always acceptable. Small, craft brews are preferable. You can get away with a lighter beer if it's a craft brew or microbrew. Or a Belgian.

I'm drinking a belgian-style blonde ale. It was 81 in the house and I just did not want to fire up the AC is it isn't all that humid yet, so the kids and I walked to Safeway. I picked up some flan for them and a six-pack of Dominion Spring Buck. It's definitely beer weather tonight.

Peter, I just realized that you are only a few miles from the Old Dominion Brew Pub in Ashburn. Have you been there? I am really liking their Oak Barrel Stout lately.

I've been there a couple times. The food isn't anything to rave about, but fresh beer is always a good thing. I prefer the Vintage 50 brewery/restaurant in town, though they don't distribute their beer yet.

Looks good. I like the thought of a stout on cask, even if I'm a noob and don't know what "on cask" means. I'm looking it up, though. Gotta love the internet.
Maybe one day this summer we can drop the wives/kids off at the Outlets and head off for beers.

Is this some kind of unwritten competition to come up with the dumbest name for a product? Or do such names really catch the eye of a...gee, what do you call a beer connoisseur? Uh oh. Now look what i've done. I've invaded the beer thread. ![]() Edited by chesseroo (04/13/08 01:19 PM)
