Hi I will be purchasing my Grand master 500 within the next few months. I am very excited!! I was wondering what you use to power these babies.

Welcome cyannkillspetey.
Any receiver should have no problem powering your system, although most of us tend to stick with the major brands, HK,Denon,Yamaha,Onkyo, my advice would be to find a receiver with the options you want in your price range and go from there.

Welcome to the family.

I agree with Mike that most good AVR's will drive those speakers with no problems. I would also stick to a reputable name. What is your budget? What is your room size? There are lots of great receivers out there...

Yes there are tons of very good receivers out there. Tell us how much you want to spend and maybe we can give you some recommendations.

Well if i am going to do this, I am gonna do this right the first time. No more than 900 I guess. I am looking at the Denon 2807. My room size might be on the medium or medium to small range. I will be living in Hawaii. But I wanna be able to expand If and when I move into a larger place. Thats why I am going with the bookshelves rather than the floorstanders.

Imho the 2807 would be a great choice, also if you decide to upgrade in the future to floorstanders like the M80's, the 2807 will have no problem driving the 4ohm load.

Welcome Cy,

IMHO, the 2807 would be a fine choice.
