Here's the flash drive I have in mind for putting my MP3's on and plugging into the dash of new car. File layout will like the following: (Dir 1) Diana Krall ...(Dir 1 in Dir 1) When I look In You Eyes ......(File 1) 01 Let's Face The Music and Dance.mp3 ......(File 2) 02 Devil May Care.mp3 ......(etc) (Dir 2) Gipsy Kings ...(Dir 1 in Dir 2) Compas ......(File 1) 01 Ami Wa Wa (Solo Por Ti).mp3 ......(File 2) 02 Que Si Que No (Funiculi Funicula).mp3 ......(etc) ...(Dir 2 in Dir 2) Este Mundo ......(File 1) 01 Baila Me.mp3 ......(File 2) 02 Sin Ella.mp3 ......(etc)

Just a suggestion to add the year of the album into the directory name. I use pretty much the same directory structure with my music, and while the media servers will read all of your ID3 tags where that info is anyway, I still find value in having as much information in the folder & file name to make it easy for those times when you need to browse by simple file structure. Enjoy your digitized library!

Been home sick with the flu Wednesday. Today staying home again because of weakened condition. Not much fun watching stomach contents over and over again.

Well. When I was sick, my Zinga (ZNGA) stock took a nose dive, for a few grand loss. But, I'm not worried. I plunged almost my entire savings into more shares at the discount. I think it'll see a major upward swing in the near future. And maybe THEN, I can finally buy the elusive FJ Cruser I've had my eye on the past few weeks.

Cat, I've been waiting for someone to point this out but I guess I have to. You ripped all that music at 640 kbps? You already posted the specs that your car player accepts a maximum of 320... I speak from experience - an aftermarket Clarion head unit in my Subaru, and the factory unit in my new Kia. Plug in a stick with files higher than the rated bitrate and you'll get silence. Yes, I tried it. I have about 1900 files on a 16gb stick, about 3gb free. It's disappointing that none of the car systems seem to play wavs or flacs. But against road noise, engine noise and wind noise, adequate quality really is adequate.
